April 28 , 2009
CRAPPIE : The crappie fishing has been great. Jigs during the DAY , MINNOWS at NIGHT. Midnight ( AWD ) baits and Lemon Maringe (ring grubs ) have been the best two colors. Freeman & Hammock Creeks have been good today. We had several limits to come in the last four nights. 6-10 feet of water.
BASS : The bass are still in shallow water and on the shallow side of the points. Spinner baits and speed worms are the baits of choise. Allen Morris won the Quincy Bass Masters tourniment Sunday with five fish weighing over 16 lbs.
SHELL CRACKER & BREAM: The shell cracker had been slow untill last Saturday. We had 7 limits come in Saturday and 9 limits Sunday ( that I saw ) most of them on big reds and green worms. Rocky Comfort and Mews creek were the best. The bream are hiting a little better.
