Fishing Report (9 March 10)

Crappie:  The crappie are biting in spells.  Sunday afternoon, the fish were in the channel at Harvey Mill, Iron Curtain, and in both the rivers that feed Lake Talquin.  Yesterday,  2 limits were caught trolling the channel at Polk Creek.  The bite should continue and just get better closer to the full moon and as the temps rise.  The water temps yesterday ranged from 52 - 62 with the water color good.  Most were trolling pink lightwirehooks and dark color jigs with chartruse tails and fishing 12-16 feet down.

Bass:  The bass are still little slow with just a few fishermen out on the lake.  This should really pick up in the next weeks.

Bream:  Still a little early but several have been caught will trolling for crappie.

Catfish:  The catfish bite is still good on stink bait or worms.
