Fishing Report -April 21st

Crappie - The crappie have turned on for the past few days.  Trolling in the mouth of the creeks around 12 - 14ft of water…also in the pads with minnows they have done really well.  The main fish being caught are still males in the pads.  Jig colors for trolling - acid rain, popcicle, wildcat, blue/black/char……..lite wire hooks - white, black and orange.

Bream/Shellcrackers - Several limits for bream and shellcrackers have been caught in the creeks.  Had one report of 25 shellcrackers that weighed 27lbs.  Nice catch.  Crickets, green and red worms have been the best bait.

Bass - Bass are being caught off the bed and in the pads.  Top water plugs and zoom worms….Jung Bug has been the best color reported.

Catfish - Catfish being caught all over the lake…..Sonny’s bait and green worms.

April 21st - Fishing Report

Crappie - The crappie have turned on for the past few days.  Trolling in the mouth of the creeks around 14ft of water…..also in the pads with minnows they have done really well.  The main fish being caught are still males in the pads.  Jig colors for trolling acid rain, popcicle, wildcat, blue/black/char. and jig heads white, black and orange.

Bream/Shellcrackers - Several limits for bream and shellcrackers have been caught in the creeks.  Had one fellow to report that he caught 25 shellcrackers that weighted 27 lbs. Nice catch.  Crickets, green and red worms have been the best bait.

Catfish - Catfish being caught all over the lake…..Sonny’s bait and green worms.

Bass - Bass are being caught on the bed and in the pads all over the lake.

 

Fishing Report 9 April 11

Crappie:  The Crappie have been doing pretty good with couple of limits being caught the last few days.  Some are being caught in the pads and others trolling from Williams to Harvey Mill and in the creeks.  The best colors are acid rain, john deere, popcycle, and bubblegum.  Check out this catch http://www.laketalquinlodge.com/gallery/Fishing+at+Lake+Talquin/Chris+_amp_+Summer.JPG.html

 

Bass:  The Bass have been doing good in the shallows.  They are in the pads chasing shad all over the lake.

Bream/Shellcracker:  Doing Excellent on crickets and worms in the creeks.

Catfish:  Biting all over the lake.
