Crappie:  The Crappie bite has been sporatic the last week.  Some males are being caught in the Pads early in the Morning and late in the afternoon.  The people trolling are catching a few in the mouth of the creeks.  The way things are looking, it will be later on in the month before the big females comes to the pads.  The fish eggs still have a little developing before they are ready to drop the eggs.  The most fish caught trolling the channel was 30 last Saturday.  April may be the best month ever…

Bass:  One fisherman caught 16 yesterday afternoon.  The largest was 5 and two 4 pounders.  He was casting plugs to the banks.  Most Bass Fishermen have been giving some good reports of fish being caught.

Bream/Shellcracker:  Little early

Catfish:  Some good catches of catfish on minnows and stinkbait.  Biting just about all over the lake.

Don’t forget, if you need a Guide Service for Crappie, contact Lake Talquin Lodge for information.
